Vigilance

Vigilance is an RPG set in the 1950s in the Harry Potter universe. In it, the MACUSA and the M.S.S.R. are engaged in a high-stakes game of espionage and deceit, as each tries to get an edge over the other via magical, human, or intelligence-based means. It's a weird hybrid of spy thriller, magical hijinks, and the opportunity to define the backstories of some of the characters you may know or love in the primary HP canon.

Vigilance is built on a conversion of the Ironsworn RPG. It's a highly narrative system with simple rules that favors cinematic action, dramatic twists, and exciting peril. Vigilance uses the same fundamental rules as Ironsworn, so the rulebook should be an effective resource, but Vigilance does deviate in a number of key ways. Narrative-heavy systems like Ironsworn, or the PbtA ecosystem generally, are a good fit for the Harry Potter universe, which in itself is highly story-driven and lacks hard and fast mechanical rules about the functioning of magic.

This project was created by fans who grew up with the original novels. The author would like to specifically note that he no longer supports J.K. Rowling and her unpardonable attack on trans rights. Rowling is not invited to play this game.
